This is BULLSHIT,
not a love story
"Cédric loves me, I’m sure of it"—these words are Chloé’s lifeline. She surrenders to her husband’s embrace, hoping never to feel abandoned again. He is the love of her life, and he knows it. He takes advantage of her devotion, pushing her to the breaking point. While her body is bruised, the physical abuse pales in comparison to the verbal violence he hurls at her. Trapped in the tormentor’s unpredictable game, Chloé endures, with “yes” being her only escape. Nicole Kranz leads us into the darkest corners of love and the human soul, offering a raw, unconventional narrative.

Inspiration behind the novel
My first novel…quite a story. Both mine and yours perhaps. A burning subject: control. How to describe this feeling? Being caught in the clutches of a narcissistic pervert? Whether they share your bed, or whether they are your friend, your colleague, your parent or your child, these inhuman beings use the same weapons, the same manipulations. Only the scenario varies. I only had to attend a single bullfight to understand that it was me, there, in the arena. And it was only from there that I was able to get out of it.
